Qualified in 1997 and joined Gotelee in 2001
I am a property solicitor specialising in commercial property. I also carry out agricultural and rural property work. I am particularly interested in advising landowners to enable them to maximise the potential development of their property whether through, for example, an option or overage agreement.
I work hard to ensure that my clients’ transactions move to completion smoothly and efficiently. I like the direct contact that I have with clients, making sure that they are aware of all of the implications of the deal that they are doing and I like unlocking problems for my clients.
I offer a thorough and practical service, dealing with problems as well as more straightforward matters. I offer a personal touch that clients like which is evidenced by the number of clients that come back to me again and again.
My clients have said that they had "confidence that we were dealing with an astute and professional solicitor… even through many complications, Catherine has always been more than willing to answer our layman's questions and has given us clear and precise advice as we went along… we could not have wished for a more professional and charming solicitor".
I am a member of the Law Society’s Property Section.
When I am not at Gotelee I am a keen runner and have completed several half marathons. A group of us from Gotelee completed the Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge recently. We have climbed Scafell Pike and various other routes in the Lakes and Dorset.
I look forward to meeting you and being of service
