I qualified in 1993, so have many years of experience and help clients deal with the full range of family and matrimonial services, divorcing parties, separation issues relating to property and children, I have undertaken several couple pre-nuptial agreement cases involving local business proprietors. I mediate with couples to assist them in coming to arrangements through direct discussion and I also conduct advocacy regularly in the local courts.
I help my clients to work their way through a process that can be emotionally difficult. It is never ‘another divorce case’ to me. Every case is personal and I offer thoughtfulness, care and professionalism. I inform them of their options and maximise outcomes for them and the family by minimising conflict where possible.
Clients say they value my honest, professional and trustworthy approach. I support them and put their case forward to an opponent with carefully constructed correspondence so as to encourage settlement where possible and not increase acrimony.
I am a mediator, on the Law Society Children and Family Law panels and I also sit as a Deputy District Judge in the County Court on a part- time basis. I am a member of Resolution and Trustee of PACT which is helps run the local contact centre and children’s counselling service. I have good relationships with barristers and other professionals.
When not at Gotelee I’m either at the gym, gardening or watching Ipswich Town or Liverpool FC, (but don’t let that stop you calling me!)
I feature in the recent Legal 500 publication which praises me for my patient and client friendly attitude. I am pleased that the Gotelee Family Team are now ranked in the second tier, having moved up from last's year third tier entry.
