Peter Crix

Graduated from Birmingham University, joined Gotelee as a trainee in 1980 and qualified in 1982

I help people plan for their future and for the future of their families.  Clients come to me because they want to make the best possible arrangements for the protection, preservation and management of their family wealth.  I help them minimise tax and other liabilities, plan the succession of their family business, property and assets and devise arrangements to protect them in case they suffer incapacity or illness in later life.  I also look after them if they become involved in a dispute over a Will or a family trust or need to make a claim against an estate.

My services include writing Wills, setting up trusts and dealing with the gifts and transfers of property.  I do a lot of work for farmers, landowners and business owners.  I often act as a trustee or as a person’s attorney.  I also handle the administration of estates and trusts, especially high value ones.

After 30 years at Gotelee I have much experience helping clients with matters of this kind.   I am included in the current edition of “Legal Experts” and the “Legal 500” has referred to my “considerable expertise”.  Having said that, clients value my ability to communicate and explain things in terms that they can understand and also my thoroughness and ability to find solutions to problems.  I’m sure that you will find me sympathetic and approachable.

I am a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Agricultural Law Association (ALA).

When I’m not at Gotelee you’ll find me listening to music, enjoying the great outdoors or long distance cycle riding.  I am a trustee of a number of local charities.

I look forward to meeting you and being of service.
