Dating back to at least the time of the Romans (and probably beyond), East Anglia has been a base for the stationing of military personnel - notably at Colchester. More recently, with the development of military aviation, the region has become host to airborne squadrons and regiments - both fixed wing and helicopter - and the personnel required to support the front line troops.
It is not surprising then that over the many years that Gotelee has served the local communities, we have established a strong link with armed forces personnel - principally from the army and the air force. We have worked for soldiers and airmen across the region to buy homes, and on retirement businesses too. When things have gone wrong, as from time to time they do, we have acted for forces personnel on the breakdown of their marriage or long term relationship and even at court martial.
