Contracts, Policies and Procedures

The contract of employment underpins the whole employment relationship.  Despite it being such an important document, some employers do not have written contracts at all.  Others may have used the same precedent for years and “filled in the blanks”.  In other cases, employers have bought “off the peg” contracts either from the web or from an unqualified and unregulated source, placing their business at unnecessary risk.

The result can often be a contract which is unclear, ambiguous - or worst of all, out of date.  This is false economy, as disputes arising are more likely to require the courts or Employment Tribunals to determine what the contract was supposed to mean.  Needless to say, any ambiguities will not be construed in your favour.  In some cases, you can even have compensation awards made against you, if your contracts are not compliant.

How can we help?

Our team of specialist employment solicitors tailor service agreements, contracts of employment, and policies and procedures to your business.  They are plainly worded, easy to understand and up to date.  Most important of all, they will work well and protect you and your business.

Our charges

As with everything we do, our charges are very reasonable and tailored to the work that you would like us to do.  In the vast majority of cases, we will agree a fixed fee for your work, so that you can safely budget, with no fear of receiving an unexpected bill from us. We also offer a Fixed Price HR Retainer.  This allows you real time expert employment advice from our team, all year round, at a price you can afford.
