Your lender will require the same level of investigation to be carried out as when you first purchased your home. We will check your title, conduct the usual searches and raise enquiries before advising you on the terms of the mortgage. At completion, we will repay your existing loan (in the event of a re-mortgage) or pay the advance to you (in the event of a new mortgage) before dealing with the registration formalities of the transaction.
