A Breezy Day at Trinity Park Ipswich
The inaugural Suffolk Horse Show opened on a squally Saturday morning with the Gotelee Solicitor banners flapping noisily in the breeze. According to the organisers, Suffolk Agricultural Association, an impressive list of advance entries for the various classes with plenty more turning up on the day to show their skills and quality. Such was the demand to be involved the show jumping classes didn’t finish until 7pm from a 9am start. Something for everyone in the area’s horse riding community; show ponies with ribbons and bows being trotted round the rings by slips of girls, working hunters tackling the jumps in the Grand Ring, heavy horses being displayed at their massive best. Gotelee CEO chose carefully which prize to present as he surveyed the scene – a small pony with a very happy Ruby in the saddle! As principle sponsor Gotelee enjoyed the chance to help the event happen as well as various of the Gotelee team enjoying the spectacle. With SAA intent on it becoming an annual fixture in the late summer/early autumn we hope we can maintain our support for what is clearly a popular way to spend a blustery Saturday.
