The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) have re-accredited Siân, one of our senior personal injury lawyers, with Senior Litigator status. In order to be approved at this level, the lawyer has to be able to show a portfolio of work covering all aspects of Personal injury over the last 3 years. Siân has been a member of APIL since 2001 and achieved Senior Litigator status originally in 2012 and has consistently been reaccredited since then.
Who are APIL?
The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) is a not-for-profit campaign organisation. It has 3,300 member lawyers committed to protecting and enhancing access to justice, improving the services provided for victims, and campaigning to change the law wherever appropriate. Since it was formed over 30 years ago APIL has grown to become the leading, most respected organisation in this field, constantly working to promote and develop expertise in the practice of personal injury law, for the benefit of injured people.
Reasons to choose an APIL accredited injury lawyer:
APIL accreditation provides a quality mark of competence and specialist expertise for solicitors and counsel dealing with personal injury and medical/clinical negligence claims
APIL lawyers must undertake at least 16 hours of professional legal training every year to make sure they remain up-to-date with the latest developments
By signing up to our code of conduct APIL lawyers are committed to acting in your best interests at all times
Many of our lawyers specialise in certain areas of injury law – look for the specialist quality marks
Accreditation is granted on an individual and firm basis.
An accredited injury lawyer will:
- Provide you with legal assistance if you have had a personal injury or contracted an illness or disease caused by someone else’s negligence.
- Explain how much compensation you may be entitled to and will always give you clear and honest advice with your welfare in mind.
- Aim to restore you back to your former way of life as much as possible (dependent on the nature of your injury)
Siân says “ I am proud to be recognised as a Senior Litigator with APIL. They and I are committed to helping those injured through no fault of their own to access rehabilitation and compensation for their injuries. I have many years of experience of helping and advising clients and that is recognised by the rigorous APIL requirements for membership and qualification.”
