St. Elizabeth Hospice’s popular memorial event, Suffolk Remembers, took place at Felixstowe on 21st June. Every year Suffolk Remembers sees 5,000 candles displayed along Felixstowe seafront as hundreds of people gather to remember their loved ones. The event was particularly poignant, given that in the past few months, many families have suffered loss due to the pandemic.
Gotelee Solicitors LLP had the opportunity to be a letter sponsor. The letter ‘S’ was chosen, and we gladly welcomed the chance to support this event.
Samuel Flower, a Private Client solicitor based at our Felixstowe office, attended on behalf of the firm.
Sam said “This is a very special event, which we are proud to have been able to be a part of. We all know someone who has been affected by this pandemic and the event is the opportunity for families to remember and celebrate the lives of those who are no longer with us”.
“It has been an incredibly difficult time for so many. It has also caused many to reflect on what steps they need to take to protect and provide for their family in the event of them becoming seriously ill or dying. If you need help or support, whether it’s about making a Will, handling an estate, setting up Powers of Attorney or getting advice about trusts or tax planning. I can help you understand the options open to you to get your legal affairs in order with the minimum of fuss – please feel free to contact me.”
Alongside Suffolk Remembers, all those who have been impacted by a bereavement are encouraged to contact the St Elizabeth Hospice LivingGrief team. The LivingGrief team are available to talk, listen and offer support to anyone affected by grief from a progressive, life-limiting illness or from Covid-19 – even if they have not previously been under the hospice’s care.
