One of the most important events in the Woodbridge calendar – The Woodbridge Regatta and Riverside Fair – will take place on Sunday 16th July.
With our new Woodbridge office at Quay Point on the riverside, it was a natural fit for us to sponsor this event. The event starts at noon and is free to attend, with free car parking at The Abbey school. This fun packed day includes yacht, dinghy and tender races, plus a single oar sculling race. Gotelee will also be sponsoring the prizes for the raft race, organised by the First Woodbridge Scout Group. There will be free boat trips on the river and the Tide Mill will be open for free visits. The bandstand will host crafts, games and activities for all the family and you shouldn’t forget to register for the afternoon’s crabbing competition. Live music will be performed at various spots along the riverside including the Tea Hut, Cruising Club and by the Tide Mill. There really is so much to see and do, a real family day out with a fantastic community feel. Not one to be missed!
Geoff Holdcroft, chairman of the Regatta Committee, said this year’s programme included all of the usual action, with a few changes to “liven it up”.
Charles Rowett, chief executive at Gotelee Solicitors, said “We pride ourselves on being here for the local community, so what better than sponsoring such a fantastic event that is at the heart of it?”
