Elmer’s Big Parade
Elmer’s Big Parade Suffolk came to Ipswich from 15 June until 7 September 2019 in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice. Gotelee Solicitors LLP proudly sponsored one of the 55 elephants that was situated around the town forming part of the art trail.
We were very lucky to have local artist, Glynn Thomas, to design our very own Elmer. The sculpture is called ‘Suffolk Elephantasia’ and he brings Suffolk to life with images of its beautiful landscapes and animals. This video explains a little more about his creation:

Glynn Thomas was born in Cambridge and attended Cambridge Art School during the 1960s; during the 1970s he went on to illustrate a number of books and to become head of printmaking at Ipswich Art School. Since then he has worked as a full-time artist specialising in etching. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Etchers and his work is in English museum collections and private collections throughout the world. Find out more about Glynn Thomas here.
