Alton Water Run 2014
Once again, as sponsors of the Alton Water Run, it was great to see Gotelee’s team of seven running the challenging course. The event sees club runners and social runners alike all vying for a fast time.
The weather was really unkind for this year’s runners, with the wind whipping across the reservoir and the rain lashing down at times. This didn’t dampen the team’s spirit and a good morning’s run was had by all – with at least one PB being recorded!
Partner, Catherine Abbott, summed it up: “Alton Water is a tough course with the different terrains and the undulations that never seem to end. Motivation in the team was very high throughout and, once the starting gun had fired, we all ran our hardest. Congratulations to those in the team that competed for the first time in a 10k, beat their “Alton Water personal best” and achieved an overall personal best over 10k. Great running!”
