From 1 April 2019 Suffolk law firm Gotelee will move to a limited liability partnership. The move is the latest in a series of strategic developments that have seen two mergers and new offices in Woodbridge and Felixstowe. The firm is now well-placed to make further steps forward in its plans for growth and innovation but more importantly, reinforcing its position as one of the most well-known and trusted law firms in the region.
“Gotelee is a long-established heritage brand and we are very proud of our local roots in Suffolk. Clients regularly tell us that they really appreciate the fact that we have local offices in Ipswich, Felixstowe, Hadleigh and Woodbridge” says Peter Crix, Senior Partner. “Maintaining this local presence makes life much easier for clients who can access a wide range of legal services for individuals, families and businesses. Our clients recognise that our commitment extends to the support we give to local communities and charities. These values are at the heart of our strategy.”
Chief Executive, Charles Rowett explains “The legal sector is changing fast and we needed a more contemporary structure to support our plans for long-term growth and help us to attract new, dynamic lawyers and especially aspiring partners who want to invest in the future success of the firm.”
In 2018 Gotelee was accredited with “One to Watch” by the Best Employers Eastern Region. “We are recruiting across all practice areas and there is a real buzz about the place as we celebrate another successful year” adds Charles “We see enormous opportunities ahead to build on our historic strengths in private client services and extend our reach within the family business sector, start-ups and SME markets where clients want that same level of exceptional service at a sensible price”.
