We have appointed three new partners as we continue to expand and serve even more clients in the county.
Oliver Ray, Nicola Weldon and Rachel Cronin have been welcomed as partners by Chief Executive Officer Alistair Lang, who says the move is further evidence of Gotelee commitment to developing its skill base.
Oliver, who is based in Gotelee’s Ipswich office, specialises in commercial property dealing with development agreements, licensed premises, leases, freehold and leasehold sales/purchases and auctions. He also advises clients on residential leasehold matters including lease extensions, right to manage and enfranchisement.
Nicola, has joined Gotelee’s Woodbridge office and is a specialist in private client work and has experience in a wide spectrum of areas including wills, trusts, probate, tax and estate planning, and issues affecting the elderly.
She qualified as a solicitor in 2002 and is a member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and The Private Client Section of the Law Society.
Rachel, who is based in the firm’s Felixstowe office, is a dispute resolution solicitor specialising in commercial and residential property disputes and in contentious probate disputes. She is also Chair of the Felixstowe Chamber of trade and Commerce.
She qualified in 1994 and has been an Associate Member of the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Solicitors since 2015.
Alistair Lang said: “This is another example of the Gotelee commitment to growing our brand and skill base across the south Suffolk area.
“The promotion of Oliver is about growing our own talent, the appointment of Nicola is about strengthening our skill set and Rachel’s arrival gives us additional presence in the Felixstowe business community – all elements of the Gotelee local plan.”
Earlier this year, Gotelee celebrated a significant milestone when its headcount surpassed 100 employees, now standing at 125 staff – an increase of 50% in the last two years.
The firm recently expanded after reaching an agreement to merge with parts of Suffolk Coastal law firm Margary + Miller in February. That merger came into effect on April 1, meaning Margary + Miller’s offices in Woodbridge and Felixstowe now operate under the Gotelee banner.
