I qualified in 1996 after completing my Law Degree and Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Trent University. I have worked exclusively in Employment Law since 1999, having initially practiced in Dispute Resolution. I joined Gotelee Solicitors in 2002.
I have always acted for both businesses and individuals. Because of this, I know all of the potential pitfalls that employment law holds and all of the tactics that can be used in any employment dispute to fight your corner successfully.
Employment law can be very complex and my role involves me helping you avoid problems in the first place. If a problem has already arisen, I will find a solution to it for you.
Prevention is always better than cure, and so I work closely with employers to ensure that you follow the right procedures and respond to situations appropriately, from beginning to end. I train managers on how to deal with problematic employment issues, which can help you manage risk much more effectively. I am on hand to advise you on how best to handle and resolve situations, so that you can spend your time running and managing your business. If you do find yourself in the unfortunate position of being taken to an Employment Tribunal, I am an experienced tribunal advocate. If you take advice from me at an early stage, I can help you avoid claims in the first place.
With individuals, I will help you make the best tactical decisions, to protect your position and to resolve your employment difficulties in the best way possible for you.
I am always there for my clients and build strong and lasting relationships with those that I work with. Annually, you can see me and the team presenting an overview employment updates to local businesses at our Employment Law Seminar at Trinity Park. We also hold a quarterly HR Forum for more in-depth detail to HR professionals in our conference room.
