I specialise in clinical and dental negligence claims, I help people who have claims due to :
• birth injury and cerebral palsy,
• delayed diagnosis,
• prescription errors,
• sub standard treatment or surgery
I started working in the law in the early 1980’s and qualified as a Legal Executive during this period. For the majority of my career, I have specialised in medical negligence cases although I have also dealt with some Equestrian and Veterinary cases.
I have dealt with a wide range of matters, ranging from catastrophic injuries to relatively minor injuries involving the loss of teeth. This includes claims arising from orthodontic, geriatric and orthopaedic care. I have also supported families at Inquests where allegations of negligence are involved.
I am dedicated to providing top quality client care and support and believe strongly in continuity and openness. I endeavour to settle claims as promptly, efficiently and cost effectively as possible, whilst keeping the client fully updated and involved at all stages.
I work for anyone with a medical negligence claim against individual doctors or nurses in private practice, the NHS Trusts, GP Surgeries, GP’s, Dentists and Opticians. Examples of my clients and settlements include:
£7.5 million structured settlement for young girl who suffered catastrophic injuries as a result of hypoxia at birth;
£4.5 million structed settlement for young boy born with cerebral palsy as a result of his mother contracting chicken pox at early stage in pregnancy and who was not immunised.
£1 million+ structured settlement for young man who sustained brain damage as a result of suffering aspiration pneumonia following surgery.
£650,000 for family whose partner and mother died in childbirth.
£96,000 for wife of man who died as a result of failure to diagnose and treat dissecting aortic aneurism.
£4,000 for man following prescription error.
£15,000 for teenager in relation to the negligent removal of incisor tooth.
A recent client said they valued Chris Moffat’s “determination, patience and diligience”
