Elizabeth Clazie
Elizabeth advises on many business issues, including corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, director and shareholder relations, commercial contracts & transactions and corporate constitutional issues.
Elizabeth graduated from Northumbria University in 2018 with a First-Class Masters Degree and subsequently qualified in 2021 having trained at the Firm. She then went on to gain post-qualified experience in other regional practices. Elizabeth re-joined in 2024 as Senior Solicitor to help strengthen the Firm’s corporate offering.
Elizabeth is extremely personable and has a great deal of commercial exposure behind her as a result of acting for a variety of businesses and organisations across the region, ranging from large companies and professional partnerships, to sole traders and small family run outfits. She has also worked with international businesses, listed companies and FTSE 100 outfits. Elizabeth works hard to understand the operational dynamics of her clients’ businesses in order to provide the most commercial and practical advice.
She also has a specialism in equine matters, for both business clients and individuals. She regularly advises on:
– Commercial acquisitions and sales of racing yards, eventing yards, livery yards, studs and agricultural businesses
– Foal share agreements
– Lifetime breeding rights
– Loan/leasing agreements (national and international)
– Sale and purchase agreements for horses
– Syndicate agreements
– Training and livery terms and conditions
Outside of work Elizabeth enjoys competing her horses and has successfully retrained racehorses for the last 6 years. She enjoys being in the countryside and you will most likely find her with a horse or dog in tow at all times!
