NHS Continuing Healthcare Funding for Suffolk

NHS Continuing Healthcare Funding for Suffolk

If you are receiving or in need of care, at home or in a care/nursing home, it may be that the NHS should be paying for that care in its entirety. Our friendly, professional team of lawyers can assist you in ensuring that you are properly assessed for NHS Continuing Healthcare Funding.

Unlike financial support from Social Services, this funding is not means tested and is available regardless of your financial situation. If you or your family member has significant physical or mental health needs and it can be established that the need is a primary need for health care rather than social care, then you or they may qualify for free care.

The NHS examine 12 healthcare domains in assessing you for continuing care funding, including behavioural needs, mobility, continence and cognition. We are experienced in presenting a detailed, evidence-based case to the NHS to support an application for funding. We can represent you at the assessment and if necessary at any appeal.

It is even possible to claim a refund on care fees paid even after your relative’s death.

In many cases we can charge on a no-win no-fee basis.

How can our solicitors help you with funding for care home costs?

If you are paying care fees and would like advice on your prospects of success in making a claim for NHS funding, please contact Kay Baker at 01473 822102 or kay.baker@gotelee.co.uk

We also have offices in Ipswich, Felixstowe, Hadleigh and Woodbridge where our solicitors can help by providing advice and assistance.
