The candidate
As part of our programme of expansion, we are currently recruiting a Solicitor or a Legal Executive with a minimum of 3 years PQE to join the specialist trust and tax team in our busy Private Client department. This role requires:
The successful candidate will have a strong academic background and will have gained Private Client experience within well-respected firms. They will be skilled at building lasting working relationships with clients, willing to play an active role in the team’s business development activities and will have a demonstrable drive to contribute to the Private Client team’s ongoing success.
The role
The successful candidate will be expected to have experience of handling a full caseload of private client work including Wills, administration of estates, powers of attorney and Court of Protection matters but with particular emphasis on tax planning and trusts for HNW individuals. They will have proven technical ability in the field of capital taxation and trusts and the enthusiasm and ability to contribute to the continued expansion of the successful trust and tax team at Gotelee.
The successful candidate will be expected to be actively involved in marketing, which may include speaking at seminars and other events as they arise and should therefore be comfortable with public speaking.
It would be of benefit if the successful candidate was a member of STEP, or willing to become a member.
