A glorious sunny day at Holbeck Park for the 176th Hadleigh Show.
Magnificent display of heavy horses, a great range of cattle and sheep for judging, donkeys and poultry for amusement and a food hall full of local produce to tempt the taste buds.
The highlight for me was the Grand Ring display of heavy machinery used in the harvesting of sugar beet. Vast machines costing £350,000 yet able to demonstrate precision and delicateness in handling the millions of tons of sugar beet produced each year in the region.
Small boys were amazed at the antics of the Inch Perfect Trail Bike display – dare devil riding across the Grand Ring sponsored by Gotelee. The local agricultural show is clearly in good heart if last Saturday is anything to go by.
Enjoy some of the photos from the day and see if you can spot the Gotelee banner…
